TYPE OF SAMURAI PAINT AND PRODUCTS

The Samurai 2K system is a patented product invented by the engineers at Samurai. It is a system where 2 different chemicals (resin and hardener) are stored in one can. The hardener is in a smaller canister within the can and must be activated and then mixed with the resin to get the desired effect. This enables ordinary users without any professional to get professional results especially on the primer and on the top clear coat.

The Samurai 2K system allows ordinary people without professional painting training and equipment to get a professional, high quality and beautiful finish on their paint job. This includes the primer for the item and the top coat. Only Samurai has this system in the Philippines and technology is patented here and in different countries around the world.

1K is a term term used to describe a coating that does not require a hardener, catalyst or activator. This term can be used to describe “single-component” paints that dry in the air (whether latex house paint, or old school lacquer) and nearly all aerosol spray can paints. 2K pants on the other hand describes a coating that needs to be mixed with a hardener, catalyst or activator. Once it hardens it is much less susceptible to damage from chemicals, weather, or UV rays. 2K paints are stronger and more durable as compared to 1K paints plus it is more difficult to apply as compared to 1K.

In 2K, one typically needs to mix the chemicals manually then with an air compressor and spray gun, spray the paint on the painted item. But with Samurai 2K System, everything is combined in an aerosol can so there is no need for all the equipment but the result would be the same.

With 2K clear coat, there is extra UV protection and the gloss can last up to 5 years.
